Dust Storms

First of all, I apologize for missing last Sunday. This was a crazy busy time for us and it slipped my mind until about Wednesday. I'll try to keep on a regular schedule.
So, we're done to seven puppies left! A friend of mine grabbed Runt and Scout, but we still have five beautiful ladies and two handsome males left. The longer I keep them though, the more I fall in love with them for their unique personalities.
The wind has been diabolical these last few weeks. We've lost the center part of our barn during one big windstorm. This past week, we went through two red flag days that brought all the Texas Panhandle dust down to us. It made the cows a little rowdy, but the donkeys knew this was their time to shine. They ran and played like they were extras in a movie about sandstorms. I'm sure Hollywood will call any day for them.
The sheep will be getting sheared in the next couple of weeks. I am hoping to get the barn back up to functional before the shearing though, just in case we have any leftover cold snaps. Poor Bewety though just can't see anything anymore. Ewenique isn't too far off behind her on the seeing with all the fur, but they sure are beautiful cotton balls!
Yes, we have a pig staying with us for the next two weeks before he goes to market. Don't ask me any questions about the pig. I'm not meeting him and his being at the farm wasn't part of the plan, but it is what it is. I love animals and I know where the pork comes from, I just don't want to look into his eyes. I haven't become that big of a farmer yet that can do that.
