Every week it seems like we'll have one or two good days, and then the weather changes. It may be rainy, cold or both. This week, I think it's really cold, but maybe there is some moisture in there as well. See, I don't check the weather. Enough people let me know when I need to get the animals into the barn so I can save myself the anguish of looking at the weather forecast.

Enough about the weather, y'all want to hear about the animals! We banded and listed the goat kids available. There are still on or two not posted yet because they aren't old enough, but they're on Facebook. They'll be uploaded to the website tomorrow. All the girls, even the ones not old enough, are sold! I have a dear friend that cannot get enough of goats and dogs. I won't let her have any of the puppies, but I do let her come visit them.

Speaking of the puppies, we're still waiting on the lab results from the health panel from Embark. As soon as I know, y'all will know. I have been trying to post on the English Shepherd Society Facebook page and even commenting when I can on others looking, but whoever controls that page consistently removes my posts and comments. I'm learning as a new breeder, I'm not welcome in their territory. They live up north, I'm in Texas, it's a big enough country people.

The donkeys and sheep are doing great. The goats are sick of the weather patterns. They really don't like to be in the barn anymore. The cows though, they have been loving it all. They'll face the wind to have it blow their locks like they are shooting for the cover of a romance novel. When it is rainy, the cows scratch up along the fence line to loosen some of the mud. Only the cows though, Brogan the bull still rolls around in it. When it's cold, they lounge around the hay. When it's warm, they stand over by their water trough. Every day though, they play!

This week's plan is to take new pics of the puppies and try to teach them to fetch. With there being nine of them, I really don't see that going well, but I'm going to try. Their parents love to play fetch and I don't want these puppies to miss out!
